After my PhD, I’m happy to be starting a new position at Vates as a Virtualisation Engineer. I’ll be working on the Windows Guest Tools for XCP-ng, focusing on improving the support and performance of Windows virtual machines. I’m really glad to join Vates and get the opportunity to work on an open-source virtualization project used by a growing community. I am happy to share that I successfully defended my Ph.D. thesis, “Understanding Linux Kernel Scheduling Bottlenecks,” on June 3, 2026, at Inria Rennes. This defense marks the end of an intense and rewarding research journey conducted at Inria Rennes, IRISA, and the University of Rennes. My thesis provides a comprehensive study of limitations in Linux kernel scheduling mechanisms and asynchronous execution APIs, and analyzes their impact on the performance of multithreaded applications and the energy efficiency of Intel heterogeneous CPUs. ...
